Seeking to bring quality cinema to the people and visitors of Quintana Roo, The Riviera Maya Film Festival extends its dates for screenings.

From April 23 to 29, in Playa del Carmen, at:

- Cinemex Centro Maya
- Parque Fundadores
- Centro Cultural
- Sessions on touring screen, through the program “Community Bridges”

From May 13 the RMfF will continue its special touring program at:

Puerto Morelos (13-17 May )
Cancún (20-24 May )
Isla Mujeres (28-30 May )
Tulum (4-6 June )

Riviera Maya

The Riviera Maya will be, once again this year, the main venue of the fourth edition of the Festival, where the opening ceremony will take place, as well as screenings in cinemas and natural outdoor scenes.

With its beautiful beaches, azure waters and first class hotels that invite to relaxation, inspiration and fun, the Riviera Maya offers visitors a huge variety of ecotourism activities, archaeological tours, entertainment for the whole family and a celebrated nightlife.

Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen will feature outdoor film screenings and cinemas that were specially restored for the fourth edition of the Riviera Maya Film Festival. To complete your experience we suggest visiting the Fifth Avenue, where you will find restaurants, bars and nightclubs.


Tulum will host a gala and activities related to the filmmaking industry, as part of the fourth edition of the Riviera Maya Film Festival. Its wonderful people will surprise you with endless options to clear your mind, pamper your palate.

This place was chosen as one of the venues of the festival as it holds an architectural gem, unique in its kind: an ancient Mayan city fortress by the sea, surrounded by three huge walls that protect the mysticism of an ancient culture and lush vegetation.


During the celebration of the Riviera Maya Film Festival, the Pearl of the Mexican Caribbean will host a gala and screenings that will be attended by leading figures of film and entertainment world.

Spectacular beaches, luxury hotels and ancient Mayan ruins are part of the appeal of Cancun. In its diverse nature reserves and parks you’ll be able to the enjoy the vegetation of its mangroves and practice water sports, such as snorkeling and diving.

Puerto Morelos

This venue of the fourth edition of the Riviera Maya Film Festival is the main port in the state of Quintana Roo, and is located between Playa del Carmen and Cancun. Its main attraction is the reef, that was declared National Park, and is the world’s second largest barrier reef, just 500 meters from the beach.

It is perfect for scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing and other marine activities. It also has a botanical garden (sanctuary of the Mayan jungle) where you can enjoy the local flora and fauna, as well as a small zoo that shelters boas, ocelots and crocodiles of all ages.
